National Archives offers a comprehensive range of document destruction services, including scheduled onsite shredding, one-time purge shredding, drop-off shredding, secure hard drive destruction, data destruction, and e-waste disposal. Whether you need recurring service at your location or prefer the convenience of dropping materials off at our facility, we have a secure solution to fit your needs.

Drop-Off Shredding is available Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM at our Garden City facility.

Our Secure Document Destruction Process:

  1. Collection and Transportation

    • We provide secure, shredding consoles and bins equipped with a lock and key for you to fill at your convenience.

    • Schedule a pickup with National Archives and we will come service consoles or bins filled for shredding. Alternatively, set up a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly scheduled shredding service.

    • Documents are transported to our destruction facility.

  2. Shredding and Destruction

    • Upon arrival at our facility, documents are securely shredded using state-of-the-art equipment.

    • The shredded material is then recycled, ensuring an environmentally friendly disposal process.

  3. Certificate of Destruction

    • After the destruction process is complete, you receive a Certificate of Destruction. This document provides proof of compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
